Match Activities
Match Activities had its pros & cons regarding activities offered. We began increasing Conservation Buddies activities, and diversifying activity locations. We are actively hiring for part-time help based out of Noble/Dekalb and Kosciusko counties to support more routine activities offered outside of the greater Fort Wayne area. Price Breaks
We heard your call! All price breaks on our website are 100% accurate for the year and we’re actively seeking new partnerships. We recently collaborated with Power Up Action Park & The Glass Park in Fort Wayne, added community event resources, and general discounts for everyone to enjoy. If you have any leads or know of a business that would like to partner with us, feel free to reach out to the agency.
Improving Interaction
Last year, our Program & Leadership team worked with a consultant to identify communication needs and develop training to support our Match Support Specialists to best support our Bigs, Littles, Parents, and Guardians that are within the BBBS family. The training, titled “Authentic Conversations,” provided communication tools which many of our staff have reported that they felt more equipped to improve communications & interactions with their matches.
It Doesn’t Stop Here!
We heard a lot of good things out of the survey – over 85% of respondents would tell others to volunteer with BBBS based on their experience as a Big! Through your engagement and meaningful connections, you are impacting a child’s self-esteem, academic performance, and overall life trajectory, and by promoting us with your friends, family, coworkers, and others you are increasing that impact in our communities.
We want to keep collaborating in the spaces that matter most to our Bigs, so we are going to keep asking for your feedback! Our goal is to hear from over 35% of our Bigs this year.
