2026 Board Leadership

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana welcomes Mike Wever as the new Board President for the 2026-2027 term, along with new Board officers.

New Board Leadership includes:

  • Board President: Mike Wever, Barnes & Thornburg
  • Vice President: Ross Hensley, Physicians Health Plan of Northern Indiana (PHP)
  • Vice President: Martin Huttenlocker, Logan Properties
  • Secretary and Board Governance Chair: Denise Mills, retired
  • Treasurer: Brian Miller, STAR Financial Bank

Each has previously served on the Board, lending their expertise and insights, along with extensive organizational knowledge, to guide BBBS towards more effectively serving youth across Northeast Indiana. Denise Mills and Brian Miller are both serving an additional term in their respective roles.

“I’ve been able to see a lot of great results with the kids and really come full circle in seeing the impact the organization can have on their lives,” said Wever, who has served the agency since 2019.

The Northeast Indiana chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters has a nationally recognized Board, earning a 2025 Board of the Year title at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America National Conference. The BBBS team is excited to enter 2026 with passionate and expert leadership, all in an effort to create more matches between youth and volunteer mentors.

“Big Brothers Big Sisters has a long history of innovative, effective leadership on the Board,” said BBBS CEO Josette Rider. “We are excited to welcome these individuals into their new roles and work together towards a brighter future for youth in our communities.”
